The Borden Light Marina Cigarette Poker Run started in 2006 with just a handful of boats participating, we now have an average of 52 boats each year! The run is open to all vessels with speeds above 50MPH. Bring on the high-performance Center Consoles and see if you can run with the best. The course extends to the West Passage of Narragansett Bay around Jamestown Island and thru the bowels of the Atlantic Ocean. We then enter Newport Harbor leaving Castle Hill on our starboard side.
The weekend will kick off with a private VIP Roof Top Party at The Tipsy Seagull on Friday night for Captains and crew only. The run starts promptly at 11:30AM on Saturday with a mandatory Captains meeting at 10:30AM. Participants are welcome to arrive as early as Thursday free of charge on land or in the water. The Travel Lift will be available Friday afternoon and Saturday until 11 am complimentary.
1st stop is East Providence, the 2nd stop is Newport RI at West Wind Marina with buffet lunch included in the cost of registration. It’s an amazing stop right in the heart of the city and the sailing capital of the world – we drive them crazy!! Our 3rd stop is Warwick Marina and the the final stop is Bristol RI and then back to where it all began, The Tipsy Seagull!!! The band will be rocking and the card playing begins at 6:00PM with a Pig Roast dinner to follow. Dancing, of course, is allowed at any time!!! There will be a Bloody Mary Brunch for all participants for a proper send off on Sunday, August 26th.

The best part of our event, all the monies raised go to charity. We have donated in the past $15,000 to the Boys & Girls Club, $10,000 to the BAM Foundation, $5,000 to the Fall River Preservation Society and many more! This year, working with The Make a Wish Foundation, we are looking to make a few wishes come true for some local children.
